Former federal prosecutor Ira Belkin (柏恩敬) explains how a love of the language and culture led him to spend seven years touring China to explain and promote the develop of a rules-based judiciary.

Ira Belkin is Executive Director at NUY School of Law’s US Asian Institute. An experienced lawyer and federal prosecutor, Belkin spent seven years lecturing on the US criminal justice system to students in Guangdong, Sichuan and Beijing, where he also served as a resident legal consultant to the US Embassy.
